What is Mazda’s i-ActivSense Safety Suite and the benefits of it?

When heading to your local Mazda dealership to take a gander at the wide variety of different vehicles in stock, it’s good to have prior knowledge of what’s keeping you safe inside and out of those vehicles. Every Mazda comes with i-ActivSense, which serves as Mazda’s safety suite of features designed to keep you and your loved ones, as well as other drivers safe on the road ahead. Let’s get into these different features below, starting with Traffic Jam Assist.

Mazda i-ActivSense – Traffic Jam Assist

Traffic Jam Assist is designed to help you take some of the stress away from your daily commute to and from work. This system really helps enhance the Mazda Radar Cruise Control, which works just like any other cruise control system. What the Traffic Jam Assist feature does that enhances this, is being able to set your cruise control to speeds as the traffic changes on the road.

Mazda i-ActivSense – Front and Rear Parking Sensors

Another great safety feature included in the safety suite Mazda provides its vehicles with is the front and rear parking sensors equipped with every Mazda. When backing into a parking spot or pulling into one, these sensors will let you know when you might be too close to another vehicle or object. As you get closer and closer to that object, the alerts get more and more frequent, so the potential impact can be avoided.

Mazda i-ActivSense – Rear Cross Traffic Alert

Keeping on the topic of safety, the Rear Cross-Traffic Alert feature is another convenient feature equipped with every Mazda model. When backing out of a tight space, or in a busy parking lot, the rear cross-traffic alert function will alert you when oncoming traffic is coming from either direction. If a collision is imminent, the rear cross-traffic alert function can automatically apply the brakes to avoid this situation from occurring.

Mazda i-ActivSense – 360 Degree View Monitor

With the 360-degree view monitor, drivers can better see their surroundings inside a Mazda vehicle. The cameras placed along the entirety of the vehicle all work together to bring the best views possible. Then these views are plugging into the Mazda Connect screen for your viewing pleasure, and to help you better understand your surroundings.
